Online vs. Natural web

Get off the online web and go find a naturally spun web.
Happy Friday!! Here is the spider from my book-
Now go outside and take a look,
you might find one in a tree nook!!

Aerial yoga taps into a child's imagination!

Aerial yoga designed especially for kids elevate the fun factor!!
A lot of kids do yoga, but how many do King Pose upside down or sway in Tree pose while suspended several feet above ground?
Aerial yoga is a fusion of yoga and the aerial arts... kids learn how to stretch, spin, flip, and strike all sorts of poses while suspended in silk hammocks. With obesity on the rise in children, this strengthens, the core in a fun way, it also forces you to focus on letting go of fear. This is the perfect workout for children to subconsciously train their body and mind to not be scared of trying new things and letting go.

Cherish your visions and dreams, as they are the children to your soul- Napoleon Hill

The flowers sprouting from my head symbolizes my current thoughts. Let yours be happy and beautifully scented. A bouquet of positivity, if you will :-)
When we were children, there was no weeded worry-
Keep that crystal dream.
So often people forget what it was like to be a kid... they get stuck in the adult grid.
But this is a thought that I simply forbid.
Never retire your radio flyer...
Be a kid having fun,
when one-hundred and one:-)

It's Feature Friday!

Here's my next little creature from the book!

Who said Nature isn't fashionable?

We brought nature inside on this rainy day.

It's time to take sail

We sailed all over town today.
My little sis and I Started off the day with some garden sculpture shopping...
followed by the Craft and Folk Art Museum,
and capped the day off with some sail boat Sticktivities.
All you need are a few canoe shaped pods (from a bottle tree), leaves and twigs.

Airy Fairy

My little sis and I LOVE making natural crafts!! On my recent beach vacay, I got Mya a few shells... We decided to add a few bells and whistles to them by reusing some of natures fallen beauty, found today on our nature walk.
We created this airy fairy with elements from the beach mixed with a few leaves and flowers from Nature's hidden streets.

What you'll need:
-Baby star fish for the eyes
-Use the under side of a small shell for the lips
-Sea urchin skeleton for the head
-Sea coral for the hat
-Some leaves for the wings
-A beautiful flower for the dress
-Lavender as the legs and shoes
Have FUN!

The Secret Garden

When asked, "Is there a story from the pass that resembles your own book?" I would have to say that The Secret Garden (By: Frances Hodgson Burnett) is the closest it gets to my story. Although it's a completely different plot, the underlining message is not off by a long shot.

The importance of Nature is strongly urged in The Secret Garden, and it is in my story as well.

For those of you who may have forgotten The Secret Garden's storyline, here's a quick briefing:
There was a child within the story who believed he couldn't walk.
Engrossed in negative thoughts, and had never been outside. His father fed him fearful lies by saying he was soon to die.
Then his newly orphaned cousin moves in and shows this saddened boy the light of life.... in other words, the great outdoors
.
As a result, he was taking countless strides and no longer wanting to hide inside.

As the little girl took him to this beautiful Garden, his soul started to lift high, and eventually he lifted up with his spirit by walking for the first time.

Was he ever ill, or did he suddenly heal?

Perhaps illness is healed in Nature's stillness.

We so often overlook what is within Nature and the gifts it bares. Not only does Nature heal, but is also provides meals with beauty that is truly surreal.

Lets lay off the life that is full of plastic, medal and steel while zooming around in automobiles.
Park your car on the side of the street, get on your feet, and enjoy Nature's beautiful retreat.

High-five Ultramarine jazz

My sis and I swam with this amazing creature in his lagoon. Some believe Dolphin's to be wiser than human-kind, and after spending over an hour with him, I can see why.
This guy filled the ocean with beautiful music, whistling and dancing in pure happiness. Dolphins are for sure the true rhapsody in the blue sea- sadly, being hunted to the edge of silence.
Some fishing methods, such as the use of nets, kill a large number of dolphins every year. Not to mention, the plastic city we have created beneath the sea.
While we were there, he picked up a plastic bag floating in the water with the tip of his nose, and gave it to his trainer.
What do you think he's trying to say?
Lets keep flap-dancing and jazz alive, by keeping their house in the marine clean.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.~Wayne Dyer

My studio a few months back and today's transformation provides a jolt of nature through illustrations and plants.
Feels like I'm painting outside :-)
